Anxiety, in its essence, is fear. It is fear of the unknown, fear of not knowing what will happen next, or how you will make it from one day to the next day. We live in a world that is so chaotic that we worry about our relationships, our health, our finances, the unrest in our nation, job security, and the list goes on and on. However, Jesus said in John 10:10 that he came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. So, God is calling us to a life of peace, joy, and happiness. That is why Jesus said in Luke 12:22-24, "...Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap; they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!”
