For those of us who have obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ, we are now new creations in Christ, a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and God's special possession...." (1 Peter 2:9-10). Paul informs us that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that we have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ and we now have a new identity. As new creations in Christ, we do not allow our fears and pain to determine who we are. We live in the hope of God's promises with the assurance that God is working behind the scenes on our behalf.
