Living the Christian life is more than just saying we are God's people. It is letting the light of Christ shine in our lives. In Matthew 5:16 Jesus said to His disciples, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." This passage validates the fact that as believers, we should live openly and do good things so that people will notice. This means that just as Jesus told his parents at the age of twelve that he must be about his Father's business, we are to do the will of God even when it is difficult.
